Marji Beach

I’ve been with Animal Place since 2004, first as a volunteer, then animal caregiver, before moving into programs and outreach. Currently, I oversee all fundraising and social media efforts. I created and oversaw our large-scale hen rescue and adoption program for a decade. It was the only program of its kind in the nation and we rescued more than 26,000 chickens from slaughter. I love photography, reading, creating art with my kiddo Iz, and spending time with my rescued animals: 18-lb dog-cat Shawn, Spanish podenca Eliza, Mexi-mutts Tobi & Sophie, rescued Kaporos hens Ayla, Tigerlily, Elara, Celena, Calypso, and Luna, as well as rescued betta fish!
