Sylvie Boucher

Originally from Connecticut, Sylvie is a passionate advocate for environmental conservation and animal rights. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Connecticut, where she also led the vegan student group, Veg Huskies. After moving to Iceland, she earned a second Master’s degree in Environment and Natural Resources. Her diverse experience spans work with a small organic vegetable farm, a land conservation non-profit, and animal advocacy organizations. She has also embraced unique opportunities as a conservation field worker in Hawaii, a glacier guide in Iceland, and an au pair in New Zealand. Sylvie’s extensive travels and work abroad have deepened her commitment to protecting nature and all its inhabitants. A long-time vegan, she remains dedicated to advancing animal rights. In her free time, she enjoys cooking new plant-based meals, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors.
