Why Farmed Animals?

We advocate for farmed animals because they are some of our planet's most abused and exploited individuals. These sentient beings experience grave suffering within our food system. We strive to create a more humane and just world for them by raising awareness and promoting change.

The last day for a baby turkey is often the first and only day they breathe fresh air or feel the sun or breeze on their face. It is such a mad world that brings sentient, feeling beings into this world specifically to treat them horrifically.

It is such a simple idea. To cause the least amount of harm as possible. To recognize other animals are here with us, not for us. #worldveganday

Panda was being raised as part of a Future Farmers of America (FFA) "project". When Panda was 5-mos-old, a disturbed individual broke into his pen, doused him in kerosene, and set him on fire. Panda suffered significant burns. The local community rallied and paid for his care. But the student insisted on continuing the "project", with plans to show and auction Panda for slaughter the the county fair. Locals intervened and saved him, while we offered to take him in permanently. Panda arrived in 2014 as a 13-mos-old. He has required daily management of his Burn scars since. They are prone to squamous cell carcinoma and sun damage. We love Panda dearly. 🖤🤍
